About Us

HelIo, My name is Symon and I am the Principal Physiotherapist and proprietor of Active8 Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. I hold a Masters of Physiotherapy from Griffith University in Queensland, a Bachelor of Applied Science in (Exercise and Sports Science) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Science (Pharmacology and Microbiology) from the University of Sydney.

My journey has allowed me to work in various physiotherapy clinics based within the West and Northwest of Sydney managing acute through to chronic injuries and working with patients of all ages. I have been privileged to have worked in hospitals in orthopaedics, neurology, rehabilitation and ICU throughout Hunter New England Health and in varied rehabilitation facilities and gymnasiums throughout Sydney.

I have an avid interest in the biomechanics of movement particularly relating to sports, and so improving technique and function for all players and applying these skills in the work setting alike. I also wish to provide for our members long-term management strategies.

I particularly enjoy working with people of all ages to improve movement and function, breaking down the technical jargon in to everyday language to help people get back to enjoying life, returning to work or playing sports.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends exploring new places, restaurants and events. My last big adventure was participating in the Sydney to Wollongong Bike ride and the City to Surf.
